We want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains how returns, cancellations and refunds work for books bought on kalenga.me from The Kalenga Company.
30-day returns
You may return any book bought from us within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price, provided it is unused and in the condition you received it.
Cooling-off period
Under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, you may also cancel an online order without reason within 7 days of receiving it. Our 30-day returns window includes and extends this right.
Damaged, defective or incorrect books
If your book arrives damaged, defective or is not what you ordered, please contact us within 30 days of delivery, ideally with a photo. We will replace it or refund you in full, including the original delivery charge and the cost of returning it. This is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
How to return a book
- Email admin@kalenga.me with your order number and the reason for the return.
- We will confirm the return and give you the return address.
- Send the book back in suitable packaging. Unless the book was damaged, defective or incorrect, the cost of returning it is your responsibility.
Refunds
- We refund the full price of the returned book(s) within 10 working days of receiving the return.
- Where you return your whole order within the 7-day cooling-off period, or the item was damaged, defective or incorrect, we also refund the original delivery charge.
- Refunds are made to the original payment method through Payfast. Depending on your bank, it may take a few extra days to reflect.
Cancelling before dispatch
If you change your mind before your order has been dispatched, email us and we will cancel it and refund you in full, including delivery.
